World Of Work

The aim of our World of Work programme is to provide children with clear and accurate aspirations about a career path from the age 16, especially for our most vulnerable children.  When your child leaves Spalding Parish Church of England Day School, they will have an understanding of the pathway to achieve their aspirations and understand what skills and knowledge they need at secondary school and beyond to help them achieve their goals.

To prepare them for life in the 21st Century, we aim to equip children with the following life skills:

Collaboration

Creativity

Communication

Critical Thinking

Problem-Solving

Digital skills

Global citizenship

Environmental Stewardship

These skills will not only be explicitly taught as part of the World of Work Programme but also be woven through the curriculum to ensure they have a chance to develop them in a range of contexts.

Over the course of Key Stage 2, your child will have experienced four different sectors.
